Interactive Festival

On the first Saturday in May, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., Second Avenue between Liberty Street and the fountain in downtown Warren, Pa., is filled with all kinds of hands-on and entertaining activities.

Opportunities vary each year, but previous ones you could experience include a trash trivia challenge, science experiments, tool building, stories, magic, Montante Sword Fighting instruction, Toy Shoppe wood yo-yo decorating, building blocks and play dough at the Creativity Center, math games, seeds to plant for your garden, constructing and playing musical instruments, and the therapy dog booth.

Kids Town Books in Warren Antiques at 306 2nd Avenue gives out 1,000 free comic books, first come, first served.
And there’s the basket raffles, display of Vietnam and World War II memorabilia, food, sweets, and so much more!
