Volunteer Application

Thank you for expressing your interest in volunteering for  Free Books for Kids Town.

  1. Complete and sign the Free Books volunteer application form.
  2. Must obtain the PA Criminal Background Check clearance.
    a. May be obtained by going online FOR FREE.

  3. Must obtain the PA Child Abuse Clearance.
    a. May be obtained by going online FOR FREE.
    b. https://www.compass.state.pa.us/cwis/public/home
  4. Bring your original clearances with you and we’ll make a copy of them.

All volunteers must complete these clearances every 5 years. Volunteers who have received the above clearances through their employment or other volunteer services need not obtain new clearances to volunteer so long as the clearances have been obtained in the previous 60 months.
